THE STUDYING PROCESS

Qualification — Specialist in intercultural communication. Interpreter.

Duration of study: 4.5 years,

The main directions of the disciplines:

Language training: learning several foreign languages (English / Chinese / German / French), developing skills of fluent and competent communication in a foreign language.
Translation activity: the study of all types of translation: written, oral (simultaneous, sequential, abstract).
Theory and practice of intercultural communication: the study of communication processes between representatives of different cultures.
Cultural studies: the study of the culture of peoples whose languages are being mastered.
Strategies of communicative behavior: mastering the norms and tactics of effective communication in various contexts.

PRACTICE:

Students complete training internships in intercultural communication, industrial translation practices, and pre-graduate internships in translation agencies, enterprises engaged in foreign economic activity, travel companies, PR and advertising agencies, and logistics centers.

MODERN BASE:

Language labs with Sanako Lab 100 hardware and software complex and 1 specialized room for teaching simultaneous translation, student research laboratory "PolessUp"; educational and methodical room "Belarusian-Chinese intercultural communications", multimedia lecture halls.
