Training in the English language at Polessky State University

Polessky State University is a young, up to date university situated in the center of Polesye. It provides training of highly qualified personnel for enterprises and organizations of the region, contributes to the creation of an innovative educational, scientific and cultural center in Polesye. The university has certificates issued by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus for the compliance with the classical university (ISO 9001-2009). The university is accredited as a scientific organization of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
Training at university is provided at five faculties (Banking, Economic, Biotechnological, Healthy Way of Life Organization faculty, Continuous Training faculty) according to the programs of Bachelor degree (16 specialties), Master’s degree (9 specialties), postgraduate studies (5 specialties), PhD programs). Retraining of specialists with higher education is provided by Continuous Training faculty (5 specialties); training in Russian as a foreign language is offered for foreign citizens.

The Council for the defense of PhD dissertations (specialty 08.00.10 “Finance, money circulation and credit”, economic sciences) functions at Polessky State University.

Polessky State University is the creator of the Innovative and industrial cluster in the field of biotechnologies and “green economy” for scientific, technical, innovation and business activities aimed at sustainable financial growth of the Belarusian economy and represented by 8 profiles: crop production, animal husbandry, aquaculture, protein vitamin mineral premixes, biological active substances and biological products, healthy lifestyle technologies, water purification technologies, green economy and tourism.

The cost of training for foreign citizens for the preparatory course “Russian as a foreign language” is 1600$ (840 academic hours). Payment for accommodation in the hostel, medical insurance and registration fees are charged separately.
 
ACCOMMODATION
Modern, comfortable dormitories in the very center of the city with Internet access, gyms, automatic washing machines and dryers are at students’ disposal. All nonresident students are provided with comfortable dormitory for the entire period of study. The university has its own hotel as well.
 
LEISURE
All conditions have been created for students for leisure at the university. It has a unique sports complex with an Olympic swimming pool, an ice arena, a universal gym and a stadium. At the student sanatorium students can get a full range of medical and health services. The university has eight amateur art clubs with the national title as well (music band “The Sounds of Time”, pop dance group “Alliance”, Latin American culture club “Solimar”). The library fund is represented by educational, scientific literature, periodicals, fiction. It has 3 reading halls equipped with comfortable furniture, electronic resources room with modern multimedia equipment. There is an electronic document delivery service and a virtual reference service at students’ disposal.
